Become an accomplished digital reporter by learning how to create compelling news stories using various digital media.
Ever wonder how journalists do their reporting online? You probably asked yourself this question: How did they produce that interesting podcast or captivating photo slideshow or that moving news video? If you are interested in learning more about reporting and digital storytelling, well you have come to the right place. This course is intended to provide skills to aspiring journalists and citizens who want to be able to document news and events (e.g. natural disasters, etc.) and be able to share them to the world via the web. The course is divided into 5 lessons ranging from capturing videos using a mobile device (plus editing and uploading), podcasts, criteria for compelling news stories and other relevant media production skills. This course will take about 1.5 hours to complete. Lessons are delivered mostly by videos plus some extra files.
